Hannah Chung violin

California born violinist, Hannah Chung, began studying the violin at the age of five. At twelve years old, she made her orchestral debut at Meany Hall in Seattle, Washington. As both a soloist and an ensemble player, she has performed in the US, Canada, South America, Japan, Italy, France, Korea, Israel, and Hungary. She had the honor of performing in South America for the First Lady of Paraguay in a benefit concert for disabled children in Brazil. This past year, Chung was in Ottawa where she had the privilege of performing for the National Prayer Breakfast. A participant of many festivals including the Casalmaggiore International, Le Conservatoire Americain de Fontainbleau, Keshet Eilon Violin Mastercourse, and Ishikawa Music Festival, Chung has worked with many esteemed violin pedagogues, which include Taras Gabora, Koichiro Harada, Nam Yun Kim, Krystof Werzyn, Cihat Askin, and Lucie Robert. As an avid chamber musician, she has worked with various ensembles; Penderecki, Takacs, Pacifica, American, and Arianna quartets. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in violin performance from the University of Southern California under LA Philharmonic concertmaster, Martin Chalifour and her master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music under Lucie Robert. She is currently studying to obtain her Professional Studies Diploma at the Mannes College in New York City.
