Patricia Nessy soprano (vienna)

Patricia Nessy, whose parents were both opera singers, began her musical studies with her father and later graduated with distinction from the Vienna Conservatory. She went on to win Germany’s national singing competition in 1993, and in 1997 was awarded the Berlin Artist Prize for her performance in Pirates of Penzance. Her extensive repertoire includes leading roles in Merry WidowGypsy PrincessMagic FluteCabaretFunny Girl, and Kiss Me, Kate, and she has performed at the Vienna Volksoper, Royal Albert Hall, and Carnegie Hall. Her passion for Viennese operetta is highlighted in her role as artistic director of the Wiener Operettensommer, in addition to her regular performances with Salute to Vienna.
