New meets old as the Pacific Baroque Orchestra performs Bach's timeless classic Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 (perhaps his most quirky and radical work), and the world première of Maestro Bramwell Tovey's newest piece, based on that famous concerto. Tonight’s concert features some more Bach-inspired works by Jocelyn Morlock, Douglas Finch, and Rodney Sharman. The program is completed by Györgi Ligeti's neo-Baroque gem, Passacaglia Ungherese, and JS Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 5.
