Bio

Jiangfan Yong is a Tibetan soprano and a vocal music teacher at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music specializing in ethnic Chinese music.

Ms. Yong most recently participated in the China National Ethnic Minority Performance Competition and won "Best Vocalist Award" from the Ministry of Culture in China. She has also been invited to participate in the Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, National Ethnic Newcomer New Work Invitational Competition, and also won the highest prize for ethnic singing, the "Golden Horse Award". Most recently, she has won Sichuan Province’s "Silver Award" in the National Vocal Music Competition of National Colleges of Art, “First Prize” in National Ethnic Singing in Northwest China’s Ethnic Folk Song Invitational Competition and won the "Silver Award" and the National "Excellence Award" at the 15th CCTV National Young Singer TV Grand Prix.

Ms. Yong has been invited numerous times to participate in the CCTV New Year's Eve Party, the Ministry of Culture's Spring Festival Party, performances for members of the National Committee of the People’s Republic of China People's Conference and large-scale international Chinese intangible cultural heritage performances.

Last season, she performed in the world premiere of a new work by Tan Dun entitled “Requiem for Nature” in Amsterdam, Netherlands with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
