Named as one of CBC's "30 hot Canadian classical musicians under 30", pianist, composer, and improviser Jimmy Wan Cheung Lee (b. 2006) makes his VSO debut after winning the 2024 Future of Excellence Concerto Competition. He studies piano and chamber music with VSO pianist, Bogdan Dulu. With his fantasy soundtrack "Almost Dead" nearing 600,000 views, he is excited to continue honing his multi-faceted skills at Berklee College of Music in Boston this coming fall.
