Violinist and Vancouver native Kimi Hamaguchi maintains an active performance and teaching schedule. She has played with notable orchestras such as the Pittsburgh Ballet, the Oregon Symphony and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Kimi has participated in American music festivals such as the National Orchestral Institute and the National Repertory Orchestra, and has toured Asia with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada. She has also been a member of both the Britten Pears Orchestra and Britten Pears Contemporary Music Ensemble in the UK.
Kimi has studied extensively with Vali Phillips, and received degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music with David Updegraff and Western Michigan University with Renata Artman Knific.
