Bio
Libby is an Australian-born soprano who completed her music studies at the Australian National University. She has been under the tutelage of voice teacher, and department head Diane King at the VSO School of Music for 4 years. She has had the pleasure of working and training locally and internationally. Here in Vancouver she has worked with Opera Mariposa, Heroic Opera and Burnaby Lyric Opera and as a featured soloist in the VSO Orpheum Showcase. Some of her performance favourites are Verdi’s Un Ballo in Maschera, Strauss’s Elektra, Mozart’s Cosi Fan tutte, as Rowan in The Little Sweep, The First Witch in Verdi’s Macbeth and most recently as Nella in Gianni Schicchi. When not on stage you’ll find Libby as part of the VSO School of Music faculty. She is the current director of the Children’s Choir, Early Years Mini Music Makers instructor for ages 0-6 and teaches voice specializing in young voices.
