Marina Agasian

Bio
Marina Agasian is an Armenian-Canadian soprano based in Vancouver, British Columbia. She discovered her interest for classical singing through the Vancouver Children’s Bach Choir and later transitioned to private vocal training with the VSO School of Music’s current Voice Department Chair, Diane King. Whilst being a VSO School of Music student, Marina was very fortunate to have participated in a wide a variety of experiences, some of which included performing at the Orpheum as a soloist with the VSO Big Band, masterclass-styled Song School sessions, the Opera Ensemble program, and public student recitals. Marina completed her Bachelor's degree at the University of British Columbia with a double major in Opera Performance and German, where she further developed her vocal skills under the tutelage of Rhoslyn Jones as well as Marisa Gaetanne. Marina is very excited to be performing with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra this holiday season and to be singing alongside her talented sister!
