Bio
Nicholas Kluftinger is a 16 year old vocalist from North Delta. Nicholas studies jazz and classical voice at the VSO School of Music with Diane King and aspires to pursue a post-secondary degree in Jazz Voice Performance. He performs regularly in the VSO School of Music Jazz Combos Program and he often collaborates with local jazz musicians. He has a genuine love for the crooner classics and big band genre. Nicholas begun singing at age 8 and has participated in many talent competitions and local performances. Nicholas is also a musical theatre performer having appeared in youth and community productions of 13 the Musical, The Little Mermaid, Hairspray, Peter Pan and Seussical the Musical. A grade 11 French immersion student at Burnsview Secondary School, Nicholas is an avid history buff and enjoys creative writing and playing piano. He is thrilled and honored to have this performance opportunity with the Vancouver Symphony.
