Tokyo-born and internationally- acclaimed violin sensation Karen Gomyo, is known for her knockout performances of Barber’s lyrical and sizzling Violin Concerto. Guest conductor Gerard Schwarz leads the VSO through a program of sublime strings, including American composer David Diamond’s rich and colourful Symphony No. 4, and culminating in Brahms’ dynamic and sensational Symphony No. 1.
