Join us for an unforgettable evening of music as the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra concludes the Day of Music with a free concert. Conducted by VSO Music Director, Otto Tausk, the Sinfonietta joins our musicians on stage for selections of Dvořák’s majestic Symphony No. 9 (‘New World’). As well, the Future of Excellence winner, violinist Yaming Zhu accompanies Maestro Tausk for Fantasy of Bizet’s “Carmen”.

Day of Music is a full day of FREE musical delights – 10am to 10pm – spread across multiple stages, including the Orpheum, VSO School of Music, Christ Church Cathedral, and various stages in Yaletown, TELUS Garden, Deloitte, and YVR. With over 100 performances to enjoy, there’s something for everyone in the family.
