The “superb” (New York Times) German baritone Matthias Goerne performs a set of Mahler songs that run the gamut from the joy of love to existential angst. Hélène Grimaud will capture the emotional core of Schumann, a key inspiration for Mahler. Maestro Tausk closes with Mahler’s beloved Symphony No. 5.
