Led by Maestro Tausk, Richard Strauss’s Till Eulenspiegel opens the concert with swagger, mischief, and a wink, a musical prank dressed in epic orchestral clothing. From there, Mozart’s final piano concerto, performed by Marc-Andre Hamelin, offers something entirely different, music of grace, ease, and luminous calm, written at the end of a life spent perfecting balance and beauty. The evening concludes with Brahms’s Haydn Variations, a radiant celebration of craft, colour, and joy, music that affirms rather than wrestles.

Please Note: The Classical Afterworks concert on Friday night does not have an intermission.
