“...a voice hued like polished teak... arrestingly vulnerable.” — The New York Times on D’Angelo

Rising Canadian mezzo Emily D’Angelo is the talk of the town. With Purcell and Handel she demonstrates her nimble technique and why the New York Classical Review calls her “the most promising performer of the day.” Led by VSO Concertmaster Nicholas Wright.

This concert is part of the 2019-2020 Classical Traditions at the Chan Centre series.

  • THE PRESENTATION OF THIS SERIES IS MADE POSSIBLE, IN PART, THROUGH THE GENEROUS ASSISTANCE OF THE CHAN ENDOWMENT FUND AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA.
