Five hundred years of spatial music. Four World Premieres.
New music mavericks Katerina Gimon and Mike WT Allen join JUNO® winners Jocelyn Morlock and Jordan Nobles in creating fresh new music for this site-specific look at some of the creative minds in BC.
William Rowson conducts members of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in a concert also featuring flutist Chris James and harpist Lani Krantz playing Barbara Pentland’s whimsical “Trance”; Pulitzer Prizewinner Henry Brant’s luxuriantly beautiful “On the Nature of Things”; and Morlock’s new arrangement of music from Antoine Brumel’s 500-year-old “Earthquake Mass.”
