VSO LEARNING AND INTEGRATIVE STRATEGIES

The Vice President, VSO Learning and Integrative Strategies will be a strategic thinker and leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of education, community programs, and the VSO School of Music. Reporting to the President and CEO and working closely with the Music Director and other senior leadership team, the VP will be the senior music educator who will ensure that educational and learning programs are integrated into a comprehensive approach that complements and leverages the artistic strengths of the VSO. The VP will evaluate, enhance, and expand education programs; foster deep relationships with educators; offer programs of the highest quality and variety; build programs that provide an unparalleled learning experience; enhance participation in music; and connect the VSO to communities in Greater Vancouver and beyond.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

The VSO School of Music seeks an experienced Director of Operations.

At the VSO School of Music, it’s important that all stakeholders – students, parents, faculty, guests and supporters  – experience  efficiency and effectiveness as the school delivers leading-edge lessons and programs. We’re proud to set high standards for success. To help us continue our growth/depth, we are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to join our amazing team. As an ideal candidate, you have proven management experience in music or the arts. Your organizational, communication, and teambuilding skills are well developed and you enjoy finding innovative solutions. You will report to the President and CEO of the VSO and VSO School of Music and you will work closely with the VSO SoM team to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success.

PRINCIPAL HORN & THIRD HORN/ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL HORN NATIONAL AUDITION

National Audition: April 4 & 5, 2022

Application Deadline: March 4, 2022

Only Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents are eligible for our national audition.

These vacancies for Principal Horn & Third Horn/Assistant Principal Horn are tenure track. Employment with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra will begin at a mutually agreeable date during the 2021-2022 season, or at the latest in September 2022 for the start of the 2022-2023 Season.

The VSO will hold an international audition for the positions in Spring/Summer 2022 if no candidate is offered the position from our national audition.
