Tickets for Teachers
The VSO Teacher Ticket Pass gives certified BC Teachers up to two tickets at $25 each to any eligible regular season concert. Please note that some exceptions may apply, and that there may be limited numbers of Teacher Tickets available.

Please note that this offer cannot be combined with other VSO promotions, and is not valid for seats in the Dress Circle section of the Orpheum.
All tickets booked under this promotion must be picked up at the venue box office on the day of the given performance. Please bring BC Ministry of Education ID when picking up tickets.

Teacher Ticket Pass tickets become available two weeks prior to each eligible concert, and all eligible concerts will be displayed on this page as they become available. If a concert is not on this page within two weeks of the concert date, it is not eligible for Teacher Ticket Pass tickets
Teacher Ticket Pass FAQs
It is a way for BC Teachers to experience the Vancouver Symphony at a reduced cost. Anyone who is a certified teacher through the BC Ministry of Education is eligible to buy up to two tickets per concert for just $25 per ticket.
Yes! It’s absolutely free to sign up for the Teacher Ticket Pass.
You must register online to join. The Teacher Ticket Pass expires at the end of the current season in June. Please re-register in September for the following season.
Please call VSO Customer Service at 604.876.3434 if you are having any problems logging in or creating an account. Customer Service telephone hours are Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 6pm, and Saturday 1pm to 5pm (Holiday/Summer hours may be different).
Yes. You have to register online before you can take advantage of the $25 price.
The Teacher Ticket Pass expires at the end of the current season, around mid-June, or when you cease to hold a valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate. Please re-register in September for the following season.
Teacher Ticket Pass tickets are available for all VSO concerts pending seat availability, except for the Kids Concerts and Tea & Trumpet Series. Please note there is extremely limited availability for some concerts; if a concert does not appear on the Teacher Ticket Pass page, then it is not available for Teacher Ticket Pass tickets. If you have questions about availability, please call VSO Customer Service at 604.876.3434.
You can sit anywhere you want, excluding the Dress Circle section.
Yes. You can bring a friend for $25 too. With your Teacher Ticket Pass membership, you are able to purchase up to 2 tickets for any eligible concert at $25 each.
No. Your guest may be anyone of any age.
Tickets can be bought up to 2 weeks in advance of a concert. We encourage you to check the website regularly to see what’s available.
All tickets must be purchased online through our website. Once you have signed up for the Teacher Ticket Pass, you will need to login with your email address and password and proceed to purchase your tickets.
You can purchase a maximum of two(2) tickets for each eligible concert using your Teacher Ticket Pass.
All tickets purchased with the Teacher Ticket Pass must be picked up in-person at the venue Box Office (starting two hours in advance of the concert at the Orpheum or Chan Centre, and one hour in advance at any other venue). You must bring a PRINTED COPY of your BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate when you pick up your tickets, with absolutely no exceptions.
All ticket sales are final. There are no exchanges or refunds offered for tickets purchased through this program.
The BC Ministry of Education no longer supplies printed Teaching Certificates or ID Cards. To print a copy of your valid teaching certificate, visit https://www.bcteacherregulation.ca/CertificateHolders/login.aspx, log-in to the Certificate Holders Area, click on “Confirmation of Annual Practice Fee”, and download your confirmation in PDF or JPG, then print it out. You must present a printed copy of your certificate. A digital copy will not be accepted.
