Elementary School Concerts
VSO Elementary school concerts are a fun, educational, and interactive way to introduce K-7 students to orchestral music. This year’s concerts focus on storytelling through music and film scores, as well as Indigenous practices of caring for the land.

Have you ever wondered about how an orchestra works together to put on amazing concerts? Come find out with a behind-the-scenes experience during an open rehearsal with the VSO! Symphonic Encounters features musician meet-and-greets and tours of the Orpheum for students, as well as team-building presentations for corporate groups.

Jean Coulthard Readings and Mentorship Program
The Jean Coulthard Readings and Mentorship Program gives emerging BC composers an invaluable opportunity to work with VSO musicians, a mentor composer, and visiting composers as they develop a work that will be read and recorded by a professional orchestra. This new format is premiered this year.
