The Fair Melusina - Brahms
Violin Concerto in D Major - Schumann
Symphony No. 1 in B-flat Major, Spring
Renowned violinist Karen Gomyo, a favourite of Vancouver audiences, performs the rich, grand and lyrical Violin Concerto by Johannes Brahms.
Schumann’s beautiful ‘Spring’ Symphony and the gossamer music of Mendelssohn’s fairy tale The Fair Melusina round out this brilliant Classical opening to the Classical Traditions series at the Chan Centre.
Have a listen below to Karen in rehearsal for her recent performance of the Brahms Double Concerto for Violin and Cello with the VSO.
THE PRESENTATION OF THIS SERIES IS MADE POSSIBLE, IN PART, THROUGH THE GENEROUS ASSISTANCE OF THE CHAN ENDOWMENT FUND AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA.
