LIVESTREAM: BeethovenFest Virtual Finale

Due to the unprecedented events of this past week we have had to get creative with the finale to this week’s BeethovenFest. Maestro Tausk and the musicians of the VSO are very pleased to present you with a “Virtual Finale” performance via digital livestream.

Here is our original description of the performance: December 22, 1808 has been called the “most remarkable” night of Beethoven’s career. An astounding four-hour concert saw the premières of both the 5th and 6th Symphonies, the Choral Fantasy and his Piano Concerto No. 4 along with an improvised piano fantasy — Beethoven conducting and playing all of it. In this performance the VSO tackles the 6th Symphony “Pastorale”, Beethoven’s portrait of nature, and the sublime 4th Piano Concerto with special guest Saleem Ashkar.

This concert is the finale of Beethovenfest.
