British conductor, organist, and pianist Wayne Marshall is world-renowned for his virtuosic ability to seamlessly inhabit the worlds of classical, popular, and jazz music with consummate ease. Don’t miss Marshall’s ferocious talent as he does double duty on the podium and leading from the piano in Gershwin’s seminal Rhapsody in Blue and conductor/arranger Leopold Stokowski’s grand orchestral vision of Bach’s imposing Toccata and Fugue, popularized as the opening to Disney’s Fantasia.

Note: This Musically Speaking concert is on Saturday.

For a further opportunity to explore how Wayne Marshall melds the classical and jazz worlds, join him in the intimate atmosphere of Pyatt Hall for a piano masterclass on the theme: Improv for the Classical Pianist.
